The Only Place for the Best Sim Only Deals

Pay as you go Sim Only

Do you want to change your mobile phone contract?  Mobile phone companies have a number of different options when it comes to getting your mobile phone service.  We will be looking at all of the options and then discussing one that may be perfect for you.

The regular option is to sign up with a 12 to 18 month contract with a mobile phone service provider.  You will have phone service, the same phone, same phone number, and be responsible for any damage the phone sustains.  Another option is the prepaid phone programme.  In this programme you pay for a certain amount of minutes on a phone card.  As you use up the minutes you can get a new card.  The last option is the SIM Only.

SIM Only is a new product.  There are two ways it will work.  You have the SIM Only contracts in which you pay for a 30 day rolling contract.  You will pay each month for the contract, but you can cancel at the end of each 30 day period.  It does not lock you into a long contract.  There are tariffs, but you do not have to buy a new phone.  Instead you get a SIM card to put in the phone from the provider that tells the company how many minutes you have.

Prepaid Sim Only

You also have the pay as you go SIM Only option.  Pay as you go is a lot like prepaid cards.  In this case you will purchase a SIM card rather than the entire mobile phone.  You see, with a prepaid phone you purchase the phone then call up each time you need new minutes and add more.  With the SIM Only pay as you go option you will purchase the SIM card, install it in the phone you already have, and then pay as you use minutes.

For instance you can purchase 3000 minutes.  You will use these minutes over a period of time, but it does not have to be every 30 days.  Instead you will pay as you use up those minutes.  Say you have 3000 minutes and you find that it takes you six months to use that many minutes.  You have paid for the 3000 minutes and the tariffs, so you will not have to pay anything until you buy more minutes.  Realistically you will probably use the minutes a lot quicker.  With the Pay as you go SIM only option you also have texting options.

The amount of texting you get is dependent on the company you have bought the SIM card from.  This could mean that you are going to have unlimited texting or that you will have a 500 minutes to text with 3000 minutes.  Each company has a different deal.

You will want to examine the Pay as you go SIM Only offers to determine which company has the better deal for the price.  Vodafone, O2, Orange, Virgin Mobile, and T- Mobile are the five companies in the United Kingdom currently offering the pay as you go method.

There are plenty of reasons you may want to go with this method.  As discussed above a typical mobile phone package offers you a new phone, 12 to 18 month contract, a monthly payment with tariffs, and a certain amount of minutes and texting each month.  You also do not have roll over minutes with most contracts.  So you are locked into something, even if you find you do not like the company.  The company will also do a credit check.  Pay as you go SIM Only deals are more flexible.
