Sim Only Offers

There are two types of sim only offers you can take advantage of. You have Pay Monthly SIM Only plans or contract sim only plans as they are also known and pay as you go sim only contracts. We will be taking a look at how both of these work to help you find the best choice for your situation.

SIM Only Contracts will be a 30 day rolling offer. Basically you sign up for a contract that lasts for 30 days, but will continue throughout the other months in the year unless you cancel it. Sounds a little confusing I know, so let’s try to simplify it a little. The 30 day rolling contract means you have a certain amount of minutes per month. However, you have the option of paying for more minutes in the month if you run out before the end of the month. For example you pay thirty pounds for 3000 minutes, but you use 3000 minutes in the first twenty days. The other ten days you are paying a higher cost for more minutes. The SIM Only Contracts are a lot like your typical contract except that you keep the same phone and phone number even if you switch providers.

Sim Only Offers Compared

Pay Monthly SIM Only deals are when you have a contract that operates on a rolling monthly basis. These are the most popular of the available sim only deals. It is for a set amount of minutes and if you run out of those minutes you would have to pay for a new SIM card and minutes. You also pay monthly on this type of option. It is kind of like a pay as you go sort of option. You will have to re-up your minutes each month, rather than having a rolling contract.

The rolling contract continues until you cancel it. You must cancel it if you no longer want it. With the Pay Monthly option you will be required to re- up the contract each month before you can use the phone. It is a lot like the prepaid method.

Now that you understand the SIM Only offers we can take a look at some of the options you might find on the net and learn how to compare them. Keep in mind that with SIM Only offers you have more flexibility. They may not work for everyone. You also do not have to worry about a credit check to get the deal, at least with most companies.

T-Mobile has a couple of different SIM Only offers on the market. They have 350 minutes, 500 minutes, and up. The amount of the monthly payment is based on the minutes and texts you want to pay for. The 500 minutes with unlimited text has been 20 pounds per month. This does not include the tariffs you may be charged. This is just for the SIM Only part of the contract.

Sim Only Packs

When you review the variety of sim only providers including  T- Mobile, Vodafone, Orange, O2, and Virgin Mobile for their SIM Only packs you need to look at the minutes and texting you get. Not all products have unlimited texting. You will want to narrow your choices first by the minutes and texts you get as part of the package. Then you will look at the cost of the product. Is the product worth the price? If you do not get unlimited texts but 1000 minutes, is that worth the 20 to 25 pounds?

Once you have two SIM Only offers you prefer you can narrow the choices down further. The companies are not going to have the same fees and tariffs. Ask the company what the typical monthly charges are on top of the SIM Only price. Depending on the other costs you will be able to narrow your choices down further
